Does your website have an SSL certificate? Then you can see this by the padlock to the left of the address bar. When a website does not contain an SSL certificate, visitors to Google Chrome will see a security warning, for example at the entry page for data.
From October, Google will expand these security warnings. You will now only see a warning `i` for input pages, soon that `i` will be on all HTTP pages, so those with an unsecured connection. The message Not Secure will be added to the input pages.
Google is committed to HTTPS as the default. This means that a secure connection between the website and the visitor's browser is guaranteed. Since Google Chrome warns users about unsecured connections, filling in credit card information and passwords has declined by 23%.
Is your website already SSL secured? Then this can be seen by the padlock to the left of the address bar. You don't have to do anything.
